The living is the most important part of the house, regardless of its size. It‘s a social area where guests are invited and where you spend most of your time when you‘re home. In most modern homes, the living room and the kitchen share an open plan which is a very smart idea. They are both social areas and by combining them you gain more space.
The layout of this living room designed by Clairoux is a bit odd. A single seating unit is placed at the center of the space and the walls are covered with open shelves. The positioning of the window is quite curious as well. Sanajuha & Partners designed a really cozy living room despite its large proportions. The furniture is all simple and pushed against the walls, leaving the rest of the floor space open and uncluttered. When remodeling the Konstancin House in Warsaw, Nasciturus Design used an array of neutral colors for the living rooms in order to obtain a timeless look with a classical vibe but also a strong contemporary vibe. A large sectional takes up most of the space but doesn‘t overpower the decor.
This open concept living space feels airy and inviting at the same time. White walls throughout the home keep the otherwise busy architecture, with lots of corners and hard edges, from being overwhelming or harsh. The look is softened by interesting but subdued colors on textiles. On the formal side of home style, with its moldings, moldings, and more moldings, this traditional space appears fresh and warm with its pinkish-white walls. Although the architectural details are definitely noticeable, they don’t overwhelm the space in more attention-grabbing colors. This bright space is ideal for family gatherings, entertaining, and music. Pale green trim is complemented by the white walls and lovely wood floors. Pale yellow wall mouldings highlight the height of the walls and the interesting curves as walls meet ceiling. Even with its white walls, the living room is simple, inviting, and casually colorful.
A wall decal can add depth to a room and make it seem bigger. Another trick you can use to your advantage. It‘s also a great way of breaking the monotony in the case of a neutral decor. In a small room, it‘s important to highlight the right features. For example, the fireplace is definitely the focal point of this room but the striped armchairs balance out the décor both in terms of color and ambiance.
