This round coffee table comes with a metal chrome structure and a central dish in white, black or bronze-tinted glass. Seemingly inspired by the Eileen Gray side table, it is another coffee table that easily works as a brilliant side table in large living rooms.
In contrast to popular perception, the mirrored coffee table fits in surprisingly well with a wide range of styles that vary from sophisticated minimalism to shabby chic and even bohemian. It is the finish of the coffee table (you can look at mirrored coffee tables with different frames), its overall silhouette and geometric shape that ultimately define which style it fits best. A smart coffee table with a distressed wooden frame can blend in with rustic, shabby chic, farmhouse and even industrial styles despite its mirrored surface. On the other hand, futuristic designs with a refined aura are perfect for high-end bachelor pads oozing with minimalism.
Since glass is transparent it does wonders in broad daylight. The sun rays go right through it, resulting in a well lit room that isn‘t weighed down by the furniture but actually feels bright and luminous. If you like your space to be filled with as much light as possible, almost giving away the illusion of being outdoors, a glass table should be on your top priority list. Play around with decorating your coffee table and realize that it can stand alone as a decor piece and be flawless! If you really don‘t need it for its functionality, it will do brilliantly illuminating decor pieces you’ll decide to set upon it.
Consider your ideal coffee table‘s size. If the table is to sit in front of the sofa, it should be no longer than two-thirds the length of the sofa. Generally, coffee tables are between 15 to 20 inches tall, so make sure the height of the table matches the height of your sofa as well. In terms of visual space, if you‘re placing the table in a small room then you may want to consider a glass coffee table. Because it‘s transparent, it won‘t feel as bulky as a solid wood table. If the room is large, then you may prefer a more dominant piece.
