This is a beautiful use of an ikat pattern. I like how pretty and soft it is. This can land in my family room any time! Chevron is here to stay, my friends! Why not add some serious personality to a teen bedroom or even a playroom? This is sure to turn heads. I really like the classic black and white. Pair it with a pop-of-color pillow, and you have a fantastic statement. This swoop chair makes a beautiful accent to any space. Whether in an entryway or a chic home office, you can‘t go wrong with a classic velvet chair. Sometimes leather is the way to go, as it can add texture as well as a masculine feel. A couple of these would be fantastic in a living room or office. I would toss cream-colored throws over the backs to add some interest.
Who doesn‘t love a good, simple tufted chair? This one is on my short list for my office space. I especially love the navy fabric. This chair is perfect if you like the look and feel of leather and appreciate industrial style. The oversize nailhead trim and weathered finish are a great combination. This sculpted and cushioned desk chair is comfortable enough to double as a dining room chair. But its 360-degree swivel action makes it a great desk chair. This chair is, hands down, my favorite out there in stylish-desk-chair land. (Yes, that‘s really a place.) It looks like a modern take on something that would be in Don Draper‘s office. Simply put, it‘s lovely.
The architectural wooden frame makes this daybed a stunner, anything but ordinary. Throw in the fact that the bed has a trundle and supportive sides for reading, and I am tempted to use it in lots of decorating projects. Every home could use a touch of Provence, no? This fantastic piece is long and lean and lovely. I would love to see it with some chartreuse velvet pillows.
As our interest in personalized interiors grows, the days when a three-piece suite was the backbone of any self-respecting living room feel long gone. Now it‘s all about letting a spirited mix of colors, prints, textures and shapes dictate our seating choices. To do it well, choose blocks of color and pieces from different eras that sit together nicely. Pick out designs, fabrics and hues you love and bring them together them with a dash of recklessness. This will work best if you follow a few basic rules, such as sticking with a neutral backdrop and pairing colors with care. But don’t be afraid to experiment. You might just stumble across something unexpected that works and figure out the rule that makes it so later. Let these ideas fuel your imagination.
