The benefits of ergonomic office chairs and office tables are many. The first is the comfort factor which allows you to work for long hours without experiencing severe discomfort or joint pains. Ergonomic chairs for example have been built to support the body, especially the spine and neck and have the option to adjust the height, back support etc for added comfort. Also arm rests, which are a standard feature of ergonomic office chairs help in ensuring support to the elbows and arms, especially to someone whose job involves a lot of typing. All these features help in increasing productivity and lowering the health risks for employee at work.
So the questions still remain...does your company even care about it? Do you generally feel aches in your lower back when you leave the office at night (recession time)? Do you, in case of this rare possibility, get a good night sleep on your office chair in case you have to stay in the office and work all night and take a small nap in between code builds? Does your office desk look clean and nice to spread your things once again when all the stuff on your desk has been arranged by the office staff/boys who work at night to clean your mess up? In the morning, do you have a positive feeling of getting to your desk and start working again with a good fresh mood? If you have never thought about these questions, this is the right time because you will never know when it is too late to react.
To decorate the office, it is advisable to make a sketch of the office indicating the windows and doors. This keeps you away from the possibility of trial and error, having to move the furniture every now and then if the position doesn‘t fit with the room. Draw the possible place where teak furniture can be placed, but be aware of places where the furniture can be exposed to direct sunlight. If you want other furniture made of a different kind of wood, never put them close to each other because it creates an imbalance with the color and theme.
Teak is a common name for a tall, timber tree. The tree can grow as tall as 30 meters. Its origin is India and it has been successfully cultivated in the Philippines and Java. It grows bluish to white flowers and bears a fruit which is called a drupe. Teak is very durable and strong and is used worldwide in shipbuilding. In tropical countries, teak wood is used primarily for the construction of furniture, because of its resistance to attacks of insects as well as the harmful weather.
