I know, I know. But yes, this is in fact a desk chair. A bunch of studies have shown that ball chairs are great for posture and all-around comfort. And this one is much more stylish than a plain exercise ball. If you want the lines of an Eames chair without the price tag, this is a great option. It‘s ergonomically correct, and the leather padding is lovely.
Eschewing the traditional three-piece suite can be a much simpler design strategy than you might think. One way to create a cohesive yet eclectic look is to harness a mishmash of chairs, sofas and daybeds from different eras and in different styles and materials but the same color. The owners of this modern family room have combined a classic Eames chaise with a modern daybed and a simple sofa, but all in shades of white for a harmonious mood. White will always create an easy-on-the-eye look, but make sure you use hard-wearing materials and washable or wipeable fabrics if yours is a busy family home.
Dare to be different. This living room is lovely for many reasons, not least because it isn‘t afraid to parade a fabulous hot pink. Neutral pieces, like the pebble-gray sofa and monochrome rug, tone down the look, but try to embrace your choice wholeheartedly and not dilute it too much. The same idea will translate to alternative color pairings. Take smartphone snapshots when you see clever combinations in nature, in clothing shops, on signage. Bookmark inspiring matches while browsing design photos online. This will help you identify color combinations that consistently catch your eye.
This print is fantastic and really mixes well with both graphic and floral prints. This would be a sweet addition to a reading nook or even a chic nursery space. This is a nice neutral piece that works well in any space. I would love to see it in a beautiful nursery. This chair screams summer beach cottage. What I wouldn‘t give to have a pair of these next to a white sofa. The slight nautical feel adds a touch of classic charm. It even looks super comfy. This is simple and sweet and has a great nailhead detail. It would be great in any space. I love the idea of having two of them off to the side for extra seating when necessary. This fabric isn‘t new to the home decor world, but it‘s such a beautiful way to infuse pattern into your space. I would use a pair of these in front of a warm and cozy fireplace.
