Alternatively you may wish to consider a workstation desk. Workstation desks often come in modular form. They provide more than just a desk, they provide an actual ”mini office”. They will often allow for cubicle style seating. It effectively allows users to have their own small office with partitions without taking up much more space than a standard desk.
An office environment, apart from being a healthy one in terms of work pressure and emotional pressure, should also be a comfortable one when it comes to the physical comfort of our bodies. Lets assume, an IT professional, these days, spends 10 hours in the office normally on weekdays (lets assume that we all have weekends off in these recession times as well). He only interacts with his computer through eyes, his office chair and his office table through his body and his desk phone through his ears. With most of the IT companies using LCD screens for their employees, the quality of office chairs and tables remain the major concern for them. Have we ever thought if the office furniture, that we use daily and on which we spend around 10 hours of our day, is really the right one for us?
An office table has a different role in the office to a desk. Office tables are for the likes of meetings, presentations and group chats. They can be moved out the way when not in use. An office desk on the other hand is more specifically aimed at being a specific person‘s work space. An office desk often has its own shelves and storage space built in.
Teak furniture should be placed in the outer edge of the office, and teak bookshelves look impressive when placed behind a desk with matching office chairs. For reasons of practicality, bookshelves should be placed first before putting the other furniture in the middle of the office room. After the shelves are put in the proper place, the office table and the office chair should be placed in the center of the room facing the door. You will make a good impression on guests entering the room when the desk set is made from teak. Two or more teak chairs can be placed in front of the desk for visitors to sit on. To make the room more coordinated, you could replace old picture frames with artificial teak frames.
